Carina Sewell

Carina was born in 1960 in Suffolk and still lives there, in the beautiful riverside town of Woodbridge, next door to fellow resident Val Armstrong. After 40 years working as a children’s occupational therapist in the NHS she has recently retired and is just starting on her artistic journey. She did her first pottery at school and then when doing her OT training but her career and bringing up two children left little time for creativity. She is embracing having the freedom to explore different media and to have more time for travel, which inspires her work. She has recently returned from New Zealand where the landscapes were incredibly vibrant, and she has also visited all the Balkan states where she has been moved by what the people have endured. She hopes to be further inspired by Mexico and to develop and grow creatively.
