Meghan Stanford is an LA-based acrylic and mixed-media painter. Her subject matter often includes still life, portraits, and scenes, though her work is currently an exploration of different styles. She is enjoying trying new things in the process and taking inspiration from her career as a social worker practicing expressive arts therapy and community-led policy work. In addition to her work, she finds much of her inspiration from international travel. Meghan is moving toward an expressionistic style with bold colors, with work that both makes social statements and depicts liberation.
“Doing an artist residency at 360 XQ was one of the best decisions of my life and art career. I loved that I didn’t have to apply and get accepted because I’m in a transition phase of my work and wanted the opportunity to have space and time to create pieces that weren’t perfect, and to have the freedom to explore. Bethany gave me that freedom and support.”
