This professionally guided, no-judgments creative 8-day residency is based on a proven productivity method that can help you produce more pages in a week than your normal routine—and tap into a deeper emotional wellspring. The daily approach is rigorous, but it's based on a love of craft, an understanding of process, and the instructor's belief that every participant can tap into creativity and discipline at will. Novelist and storywriter Dylan Landis designed this residency for writers from aspiring to advanced, for those with work in progress or those wondering what to do next. Though we're not critiquing pages, you'll get to ask whatever craft questions are on your mind. Most days begin with four hours of "studio" or generative writing time after breakfast, with prompts if needed. Then, after lunch and a break for wandering the town, we'll resume with various early-evening Surge Sessions. Among them are Landis's own seminar Close Reading for Writers: Extracting Craft from Story; her "Off the Page: Q&A for all your craft queries; and two no-pressure read-aloud salons, one open to the public. You'll take home new prompts and practices for your own continuing generative blast.

“Spending two weeks at the 360 Residency was a rejuvenating experience for me as a writer—the beauty of the mountains and lake, the gorgeous facilities at the residency, and the vivid colors everywhere! This was an ideal place to begin a new project, and I felt supported during my time here. This is a place that balances stimulation and calm in a way that is ideal for an artist. ”
